Edgars Holiday Phase II starts 26th April 2011

Holiday Soccer Programme will begin on 26th April 2011.This programme is for all the kids aged 4-17 years both boys and girls. This Phase II targets all the kids since they will be in holidays that starts on 22nd April. The training will be done from Monday-Friday from 9am-12noon. also weekend programme will continue at Aga Khan Primary and MUBS Nakawa.

Holiday Soccer is Back
 
Holiday Soccer Programme starts on 28th March 2011 at Aga Khan primary field and the International students will be the first group of youth players to enroll and later shall be joined by their counter parts in National students.

Edgars kids in phase I have revealed that they are enjoying the training. The kids includes: Adrian Mugyesera U14, Netzer Conny, Lydia Alaba, Joshua Kayanja, Emmanuel Ampurire U7, and Andrew Mubiru U5 the youngest amongest the players. Mubiru says he likes the coaches and the training sessions.

Phase 3 starts on a High

The holiday soccer camp at Agakhan has started on a high given the return of the travel team from England. It has been a great moment to start training with some of the players who travelled to UK and managed to reach the finals,this has motivated all the players and infact all have promised to work hard so that they can stand a chance of travelling also said Head Coach Lutalo

Phase 1 Holiday program begins 12 th July

International Holiday Program will begin on 12th July. The phase I will be for international school who are for holidays that started on 2nd July.This training will be at Aga khan grounds.According to the acting team leader coach Saidi Segirinya said we intend to have 3 phases I starts 12th July-23rd July when the travel team will elave for United Kingdom,Phase II starts on 26th July-6th August and the 3rd begins 9th August-27th August mostly this phase III is targeting those who are in national schools. 

First Term 2010 Edgars Holiday Soccer starts April 26th

Edgars Holiday Soccer for kids is set to begin on 26th April, according to the program,the kids will have their holidays on 23rd April and they start immediately on Monday at Aga Khan play ground with all the kids from 4-18 years.Registration is on at our offices and on the field.

Meanwhile Aga Khan will have their holiday on 26th March and arrangements for their holiday Soccer have been scheduled on 29th March to 17th April. More information on theme shall be posted.

Edgars U13,U11 wins as U15 Drew games

Edgars Youth Programme has won two games in  friendly games played on Thursday and Friday at Aga Khan.Edgars U13 played Lungujja whom they whipped 9-2.Edgars goals were scored by Martin 4 goals,2 goals Rudi,Zaina,Dungu and Mick Kayinja scored one each.

The U13 champions of Edgars cup ,Coach Kyagulanyi was happy but said we would have scored many goals but the boys feared our opponents because they were older than my boys. Martin who was once a goalie before throwing away gloves said am delighted and am always ready to score for my team Edgars. Again on Friday 22nd Edgars U11 played against Grace Eagles academy at Aga Khan and won 4-1 and U15 drew with Grace Eagles at the same ground, on Saturday 23rd,Edgars U11,U13 and U15 will travel to Gayaza to play against Every Child Ministry(ECM) whom Edgars won during their visit last year and also in edgars cup. Coach Matt Arnet for ECM said we are ready for a revenge.

Edgars wins friendly games with Villa

Edgars Youth Programme won friendly games with villa teens and Tripple Stars.Edgars U9 won 6-2 against Villa,Edgars U11 won 6-0 against Villa U11,Edgars U11 4-2 against Tripple Stars and U13 Edgars won 4-2 against Tripple Stars. In another game U15 lost to Villa U16 3-0.According to Technical Director coach Peter Makanga said that we came for these friendly games in order to get friends with villa and Tripple Stars which we have archieved as well as training where we won most of our games. The games were played at Villa park on Tuesday morning 12th.

Edgars raid villa park

Edgars Youth Programme U9,U11,U13 & U15 will play series of friendly games with Villa Youth at Villa park tomorrow Tuesday 12th Jan.Villa youth coach Ibrahim Kirya sent an invitation to Edgars to have the games at Villa in order to have a working relationship Edgars Youth Programme. We want these kids to learn how to compete. Coach Peter Makanga Technical Chairman said we shall honour the games and we want also these kids to learn how to play games. The kids have been training so they need to feel the real competion. We dont mind them loosing since we teach them loosing is part of the game.

Third Term Holiday continues

Third Term Holiday Programme continues after a  NEW YEAR,s break.The Third term started on 28th Dec and had a break off to allow the kids to usher in a new year which was on friday.The programme resumed on 4th at Aga Khan with the kids enjoying football.The kids will have friendly games with Villa on Tuesday at Villa where all the kids will have to test competition with their counter parts at Villa park.  The program will end on 22nd with kids displaying skills.

Edgars Phase II of Holiday Programme Starts on High

The second phase of Hoilday soccer started on a high note on monday 30th November with a big turn up of both old and new players. The training held at Aga Khan school saw new members being oriented by Edgars coaches and old players

New members like Ian Kayiga "Kansiime" aged 3 a pupil of Real Quality Junior school,Kabiswa Hassan,Ronald Senyonjo,Joshua Kasule Kakande doing well in the trainings and happy to be playing with so many kids. The talk session was conducted by coach Dan Mubiru who asked all the members to observe laws at Aga Khan and aim high for the better.

Coach Dan conducted the first talk session where he emphasized the impotence of discipline and encopuraged all  players to report early so that they learn the laws of the game. Geremi Bamwine and his brother Bamwine Bellamy said that i have come to play football and am happy with the coaches they are good and they treat us like their kids.

Holiday Soccer is back

This coming Novermber Edgars Holiday soccer starts with the Primary Seven Leavers on 9th-27th November 2009

Phase two starts on 30th November and ends on 18th December 2009

Phase three will start on 28th December and ends 23rd January 2010

The soccer sessions start at 9am-12pm, from Monday-Friday Venue is at Agakhan Primary

Edgars Kids wrote their articles before resuming their third term that started on 8th Sept. The kids learnt basics of football and the laws of the game and Referees roles. Lameck Lukwago wrote his article as follows

One week to End Holiday Program

07th May 2009

Holiday Programme is coming to an end.The programme which started on 27th April will end on 16th with children league to be held at Aga Khan school.The THEME was about DOUBLE PASSING where the children are encouraged to pass on one another as the way of allowing to share to each other.Session manager Hassan Mubiru said the turn up is good and so far no serious injury is reported apart from minor injuries where the kids knocked each other but resumed training and now they are okay without any problem.

Holiday Soccer Camp is on this August starting 17th till September 5th and the Theme is Refereeing and Laws of the Game,registration is going on now.
Venue will be AgaKhan primary school every weekday starting 9am-12pm

Holiday Soccer is back this month,it will start on 27.04.2009 and shall end on 15.05.2009 at Aga Khan field.

December 2008 Holiday Soccer Camp

 During this coming Holiday,3 soccer camp phases have been set up at Aga Khan Primary Field where phase one will only train P.7 leavers from 10th Nov -5th Dec 2008 every week day from 9am-12pm.

Phase two will run from 8th-19th Dec 2008 and shall have all registered kids train in modern football skills and other values and responsibilities in a society,and a trip to Kigali Rwanda on 18th-21st Dec 2008 will mark the end of Phase two Holiday Soccer.

Phase Three is set on 5th-24th Jan 2009 and this time around ,the Children's League has been organised to mark the entire Holiday and all children that enrolled shall compete internally in their respectives Teams

EYP'S Team Leader Edgar Watson giving soccer tips to the Youth

After ending of the (Ugandan) school terms (December-January, April-May and August-September), EYP offers a daily soccer holiday programme at Aga Khan field (Monday-Friday). Training sessions start at 9 AM, till 12 PM - from Monday to Friday. The training is open to all school going kids.

August 2008 Holiday Soccer coming up!

The Holiday Programme has been scheduled to take place starting from 11 August 2008 to 03 september 2008, at the usual location: Aga Khan field Both boys and girls are welcome,  starting from age 4 to 15 years. May 2008  Holiday Soccer 

The Holiday soccer for kids finished off well on the 16th May 2008 with a friendly matches of various age groups from the Global Youth Academy. About 50 young boys and girls from age 4 to 17 joined this holiday programme. It is encouraging to see youths learning and improving their skills.

U9 Holiday Boys team played a friendly Game with Express Youngstars at Aga Khan field and lost 1 to 7 goals.The coach Mr. Lutalo George said the game showed a need to work on the strength of the players. Yet it was appreciated that they show a good example of fair play, even when loosing a game.

U11 Holiday boys team made a draw with the Express youngstars U11 team. They exhibited good endurance and fighting spirit. Coach Kyagulanyi said this shows much promise for the team if they can develop temselves for the future performance. The opponents team was checked, despite being together for more than three years! This achievement was possible thanks to the winners spirit by this team. 
 U13 Holiday Boys team also made a draw with the Express Youngstars 1 goal all. Ashraf Kyakuwa and Kintu I were outstanding in this team.

Our U12 won 5-1, Karl Martin scoring 4 goals and Mwanje Amos scored the
fourth. The following have been voted BEST players:
Gonahasa Fred - Best Defender, Lwanyaga Hassan - Best Goal keeper, Isiagi Andrew - Best Midfielder and Kibonek Badru Kibuuka Dimitrious Best Winger, Karl Martin Best striker.

U5 lost 0-4, but it also had Zziwa Trevor as Best Striker and Kamoga
Felix, Okwalinga Paul as Best Midfielder, Ssettimba Anthony as Best Defender
and Mulwana Trevor

Our Academy Team U15 also won 2-0, Walugembe Raymond and Hamza Fabian
being the scorers. Najib Wasswa - Best Midfielder, Lubega Jimmy - Best Winger
and Kamukama George - Best Striker.

As always, coaches have encouraged players to keep training for good
consistence performance. We are glad to have registered a number of new kids.
