Holiday Soccer Payers to Get Christmas Break!

Players who enrolled for the holiday soccer will break off on Friday 23rd 2011 for the upcoming festive season but training will resume with Phase 2 that comences in 2nd January 2012 and enfs on 27th January 2012. Edgars Youth Programme wishes every one a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012!

Third Term Holiday Soccer to Start 

Edgars Holiday Soccer is scheduled to start on Monday 5th December 2011 at Mengo Senior School. The long hoiday soccer program has been dived in to two phases.Phase 1 will run from 5th -23rd December 2011 every Minday- Friday from 9am -12pm and the fee will be 105, 000/=. Phase 2 is scheduled on 2nd-27th January 2012 and the fee will be 200, 000/=. Registration is on going at our office on Plot 10 Martin Road Old Kampala. 

Edgars Holiday ends with EYP playing against Gayaza Based

To mark the end of Holiday Soccer, Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) organised friendly matches with Ebenezer Faith Football Academy Gayaza, where EYP  won one game and drew one.The Friendly was a climax of Second term holiday that started on 15th August at Mengo Secondary School in Bukesa where EYP got new friends and fans at Mengo SS.

EYP also had a friendly games with KOLOLO Academy of U7,9 & U11 where EYP won one and drew one with the Kololo Soccer Academywith games being played at Mengo SS. EYP will be training at the same venue during Saturday and Sundays 9am-12noon.

Edgars Holiday soccer camp which has been organised at Mengo Secondary will end on Friday 02.08.11.Edgars holiday which shifted from Aga Khan Primary to Mengo saw new boys and Girls join this programme.Among those joined includes Kaganzi Craig 3,Kaganzi Clive 7 and Kaganzi Curtis 10.Others includes Musasizi Simon Peter Bukenya student of St Savio Junior,Allan Mulondo 11 Sir Apollo Kaggwa,Benjamin Kagabo 6 student at green Hilla Academy and Mahoro Bernice 4,Bismark Kajuna 7 at Mugwanya Preparation school,Carlton Kazoora,Ruth Birungi 10 Victorious,Ronald Semujju,Trevor Tumusiime among others.

Jerome,John, join Weekend programme

John Kafumbe 4 and half years in pre-primary and Jerome Nsiiro 7 years primary two joined Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) the organization they have ever wanted to play in.According to their father Mr Henry Bosa who is an Engineer by prfessional said that the boys have been on my neck to join EYP programmes.What do you give to these kids to put us on pressure to join EYP?jokingly he asked. The boys have been asking me every day when a we joining EYP. Until when i brought them to join.He is also happy that they are meeting new friends at EYP and they have enjoyed playing with others.The two study at Kaboja Junior Academy. They will will be training on the weekends but came on thursday to training for this holiday programme.John after the game said i have liked EYP and i will be coming every day.

Deva Joins Holiday programme

With 8 days to go more players are still registering to join EYP holiday Programme.This programme started on 15th August new faces joined as well as old ones.The new ones includes Deva Atuhaire,Benjamin Oluka,Joseph Semyala joined in and are enjoying every beat of EYP trainings. This holiday programme is running from Monday to Friday at Mengo Secondary School Bukesa 9am-12noon. The new ones joined old players includes.

Second Term holiday soccer programme that started  well on mondayhas so far attracted and registered new players in the ongoing soccer training at Mengo Senior Secodary play ground. Among players who joined include; Bernais Mahoro 4years, Benjamin Kagabo 6years, Bismark Kajuna 7years, Trevor Tumusiime 8years, Carlton Akandinda Kazora, Ruth Birungi 10years, Ronald Semujju 10 years,others includes Scott Matsiko Mathew, Henry Yawe Jim Kamugisha, Samsom Sium Bertie 17, Paul Rubaire and Julian Tushabe.

The Head coach Lutalo George and Session Manager welcomed the new players whom they urged to train hard and consistently if they wish to achieve great height. The Holiday programme starts from 9am-12noon Monday-Friday.

Holiday Programme now at Mengo Seconday School

Edgars Youth Programme holiday Programme will start on Monday 15th-August-2nd September 2011at Mengo Secondary School ,Bukesa from 9am-12pm every week day (Monday-Friday). This programme has been at Aga Primary School but due to maintanance of Aga Khan we have shifted  our holioday that starts on Monday to Mengo SS grounds.The Weekend Programme is on going at MUBS(Nakawa) and Mengo Seconday School Bukesa respectively.

EYP Holiday Phase I starts on 1st August

Edgars Holiday Soccer Programme Phase I will begin on 1st August at Aga Khan Primary School playground.This programme is for International Schools that are getting holidays this week ie Aga Khan primary,KISU,Heritage among others. Registration is going on at EYP offices.All school going children who would wish to acquire football skills and general life skills. The soccer programme is for both boys and girls from 4-17 years while the general holiday will begin on 15th August. Training will be from Monday-Friday 9am-12Noon. We expect over 100 new children to join this programme where the children will enjoy,learn and get friends from other schools.

Edgars Youth Programme holiday ends

Edgars Youth Programme (EYP) ended on friday 20th May.The holiday programme that started on 25th April came to an with kids execlling in ball work,possesion,goal scoring throw in and ball in and out laws of the game amaong others. The kids learnt how to balance books with sports and also how to keep our environment which was the Theme for the holiday.Among the kids that execelled includes Alvin Tumusiime,Aoron Kirabo,Austin semakula,Isaac Ddamulira,Gideon Baine among others. Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) saw new kids join EYP during the first term that started on 25.04.The new kids includes Rebecca Nakiweewa18,Rose Nakakawa 18,Trevor Kyazze 5,Ronald Ainemuhoozi 14,William Mark Nkugwa,Victor Tumwebaze 17,Mark Musasizi 14,Micheal Best Sseruyange 11,Salaamu Wamala 8,Hiridson McSmith 6,Marion Nabwire 9,Pishom Mukisa Ojiambo 4 are among who joined holiday programme.Rose a student of Lubiri said that am happy to have joined and i have found a home.The coaches are real parents they give us tips and also advise us in all especially how to balance books with studies.The Theme was on keeping our Environment.The kids enjoy every beat of training the coaches give.12.05.11

Edgars played good game in Wakiso

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) displayed good football despite loosing two games. EYP played with KICK IT Academy from Kakiri Wakiso district over the weekend and won one lost two and drew one. EYP took 4 teams U11 two teams,U13 and U17 were invited by Wakiso based academy. EYP U11 A lost 2-0 and EYP U11 B won 2-0 goals from Marvin Mulindwa and Hamza Mutaawe. While EYP U13 drew goalles and EYP U17 lost 1-0. Acting Team Leader coach Saidi Segirinya said that the boys lost but displayed good football. ### 09.05.11

Edgars holiday starts well

Edgars Youth Programme (EYP) Holiday Soccer phase II started well with a call on kids to balance books as well football, Coach Dan Mubiru told the players who had gather for phase II orientation. Among the kids that attended include new and old trained well and enjoyed the 3 hours training held at Aga Khan primaryu School. The kids that trained includes,David Magara a student of Vine International Christian Academy Grade 9 said he is happy to join EYP, a place where he always wanted to develop his football career. Others includes Isaac Musoke Ddamulira a student at City Parents School. Isaac 6, likes swimming and Soccer Livingstone Ronald Ssejjuko a student at City Parents who likes watching cartoons and soccer also joined EYP

Edgars holiday starts 25th April 2011

 Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) will start on Ester Monday at 9am-12noon.The training will be at Aga Khan Monday to Friday.among the kids to attend includes Semwogerere Alvin who is vying for assistant sports and games at his school and his brother Aeron,Ronny,Isaac Ntege among others. This is going to be a long holiday it will end on the 20th May 2011.All boys and girls are welcome age 4-17 years registration is going on.###21.04.11

Kids excited over Phase II due on 25th April 2011

Marvin Mulindwa,Jonathan Kamurasi,Hamza Mutawe are excited after the news of the phase II programme came out.The three kids in U11 are eager to start training after missing for 3months due to studies and Hamza a pupil at VES, believes he will be the top scorer in this coming camp, Hamza said this during VES club training which ends this friday. Marvin has been challenging in all holiday programms with brilliant goals both in tournaments as well as trainings. All who wish to join Edgars phase II are requested to join and enjoy.

Edgars Youth Programme phase II will begin on Monday 26th April 2011. This programme will be for all from age 4-17 years both Boys and Girls and its aim is to tap,develop and promote talents. The training will be conducted at Aga Khan Primary school between 9am to 12 noon. It will also help the travel team to together before departure and know each other. Edgars holiday program started on Monday

Edgars Youth Programme started a holiday program for international schools.The International schools like Aga Khan Primary and Hidher got their holidays on friday 25.03.11.This holiday targets children aged 4-17 years both Boys and Girls. Holiday program started with orientation done by Coach Dan Mubiru who advised the kids who turned up why they are training.

This training is part of the Travel team due to fly out in July 15th to USA cup. The children that attended includes Yash Agarwal,Martin Karl,Rudi,Alpha Antar among others. Yash one of the Aga Khan soccer club said i like training and i will be coming every day and i like Edgars coaches they guide me in trainings. I scored 15 goals on first day of training in this holiday and am still scoring many goals.

Edgars Youth programme has fixed the date for Holiday soccer sessions for International school students that are scheduled to get their holidays next week on 25th March 2011. The  sessions start on Monday, 28th March 2011 from 9am-12noon every weekday (Mondays-Fridays) at Aga Khan Primary grounds. The Sessions cover the age group from 4-17 years old. All are invited to join Edgars and get tips on how balance academics and sports such as football. Martin Magandazi and AbdalaAziz were best players in U11 and U15 respectively.The two players were picked by their coaches bashier and Hassan who have been monitoring their performance since third term holiday up to children's league that ended on 29th January.Other players includes Marvin Mulindwa best striker in U11,marvin Kitandwe best striker,Sha Ka matsiko was best up coming goal keeper while Rymond Ntege was bets in team spirit says coach Bashier. In U11,coach Bashier picked his best 11 and these includes Hossam Bukenya,Erinest sendagala,Martin Magandazi,Crispus Wasswa,Fahad Mulindwa,Raymond,Badru Sekaja,Marvin Kitandwe,Marvin Mulindwa,Jonathana kamurasi and Allan Lwanyaga.EYP wishes to congratulate them.

Edgars Youth Programme held the children's league out side kampala.The children's league held at the end of the holiday programs came to and end at Kavumba Recraetion Centre in Wakiso District. More than 150 kids attended and URA A ,VES A and URA B winning in U7,U9 and U 11. In the U7 age group teams include Holiday Penguins,Aga Khan,URA played and URA came out Victoius after winning two games against Holiday Penguin and Aga Khan 1-0 and 2-0 respetively.

Badru 6 Witby 0 as Edgars whip Witby 25 goals

Edgars youth Programme (EYP) played host to an up country academy from Mubende(WITBY).The visiting academy brought three teams and all the teams lost to U11 EYP by 14 goals, U13 EYP 5 vs U13Witby 1 and U15 EYP 6 vs Witby 0.The goals for U13 were scored by Ali Muyingo now joined senior one,Mubarak Kusemerwa,Edrin Lubulwa,Paul and Badru. U11 goals were from Badru who scored six goals,5 from Edward Mugerwa while Allan Lwanyaga picked up a brace and Mark Mugisha scored one goal in the encounter. U15 EYP won six goals past Witby, goals where from Karl Martin,Jonathan Ogwang,Tonny Bindeeba,Paul Mbaziira and Tonny Kilwalaze. Meanwhile Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) girls team whiped U13 boys of EYP 12 goals and drew 4 all.The girls who have been loosing to all the academy teams at Edgars this time proved they have been learning and this time whipped 12-2.The goals came from Dora Namugenyi and Sylivia nakazibwe scoring a hattrick each,while Kimuli Kajura,Zaina Nabatanzi and Esther nakalembe scoring 2 goals each.

Edgars Youth Programme played three friendly games with Jack Academy from Mukono.Jack academy visited Edgars Youth Programme grounds on weekend saturday 15.01.11 and played against U15,U13 and U11. Edgars U15 team won 3-1, Edgars U13 won 3-1,while Jack U11 team managed  a draw against U11. Edgars is preparing for UK, USA, Norway Cup and Sweden tournaments this year for the World youth games played every year in different countries.

Edgars was invited in USA,UK and Sweden and preparations for the said tournaments due in the months of July-August 2011are going on. in the other upcomng friendlies, Edgars will play against Mubende Team on the 26th January at Aga Khan.

Junior Mugisa 12, a student at Mengo Primary School, Bukenya Patrick 11  a student at St Savio Junior School, Akampwera Champion 12, a student at Kambuga Modern Prmary have joined Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) and are enjoying the training they are getting at Aga Khan said Patrick who used to admire Marvin Mulindwa a fellow scholar, he believes he can reach the heights Marvin has reached while Junior and Champion say the sky will be the limit for them and eager to play for Cranes.

Edgars Youth Programme will play friendly games with Kawempe Youth Football Academy (KAYOFA) on Saturday, KAYOFA the power house in Football will visit EYP for U13 and U15 friendly matches to be played Aga Khan Primary field starting at 10.00am. EYP has been having games with other Academies in preparation for the World Youth games in Sweden and United Kingdom in the months of July and August this year 2011.U15 players includes Karl Martin captain,Rudi,Hamood Kabandize,Ramadhan Kato,Gaddafi Sewajwa among others, While U13 includes Hood Walakira,Raymond Walugembe,Modest Katotoka among others.

Edgars Youth Programme scores 11 goals against Grace

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) U15 won 6 goals againts visitng Grace Eagles academey while U13 won its counter parts by 5goals. U15 captain Karl Martin scored a hatrick while Tonny Kiwalazi scored a brace.

U13 goals from goal poacher Marvin Mulindwa, Modest Katotoka, Mulindwa Fahad each scoring one goal while Nkalubo Ayuubu scored a brace (2 goals) to seal the victory. The coach is very happy to such friendly games where he can try out some of his new players in the academy.

Bradley joins Holiday Program

Bradley Salvatory Kivumbi 7years a Pupil at Victorious Education Services (VES) joined holiday program phase III that started on 3rd January 2011. Bradley has been admiring Edgars and he is doing all to get what the coaches tells him. He is a brother to Francis Ashley Ssuubi Lutaya 5years who also joined holiday program that ends 28th January2011.The training starts from 9am-12noon Monday-Friday.

 

HOLIDAY PHASE III RESUMES

Edgars Youth Programme (EYP) holiday program phase III resumed today Monday with a call to forget the past and forge the way forward. The call was made by coach Elijah Rabwoni the Media coordinator at EYP during the talk session at Aga khan where training is being conducted. The new message to the kids was about LOVE ONE ANOTHER and forget the past and plan as wellas correcting what went wrong. Among the new entrants incudes Abdul Wahab Kabuye a pupil at Kibuli Islamic in Primary six,Tonny Kiggundu a pupil at Good Times Nursery Primary in  P.4 and Antonio Paredes a student at Kabila International School In Uganda(KISU). Over 50 kids trained and the training continues till 28th January 2011 from Momday-Friday 9am-12noon.

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) will resume holiday program training next year 2011 3rd January.According to the session Manager coach Hassan Mubiru, the program wantsto give kids ample time to celebrate christmas with their parents. Holiday program started on 6th December 2010 and registration is going at our offices along martin road near quality super market and on the field at Aga Khan primay school were we are training daily. The program will run from 3rd-28th January 2011 at Aga Khan Primary School. Age 4-17 years.

Edgars drew with Tripplestars Academy

Edgars Youth Programme played two friendly games with Tripplestars Academy coached by former international player coach Paul Nkata.Coach Paul now coaching at Express fc playing in the Uganda Super League played with some of Edgars coaches on the National team the cranes and SC Villa. U11 & U13 drew with Edgars Youth Programme and these games marked the end of phase II that stops on 23rd December 2010. The holiday program will resume on 3rd January 2011 at Aga Khan Primary School.Edgars Youth Programme wishes a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our commrades.

Mayambala and Godi joins Edgars Youth Programme

Allan Godi 15, and Rashid Mayambala 15, are the new kids who have joined Edgars Youth Programme. The two new kids who have already started training  are students of Seeta Boarding Primary School and Bat Valley Primary School respectively. The two join others who have been training with the organization and can attest to the enjoyment in the training. Meanwhile EYP U-10 and U-13 will have a friendly game with Tripple Stars coached by coach Paul Nkata. The games will be played at Aga Khan Primary grounds where EYP holds traning from .The games will start in the morning to 12 noon. The Manager of Tripple Stars Kayemba Geofrey says that they needed to have a friendly game so that they can adopt a working relationship with EYP since we all have common goals of tapping young talent. Kayemba vowed to use the friendly games to show EYP total football. Kayemba further said they will present their U-10 and U-14 teams.This will be the second time where both teams clash in friendly games since the ones played at Villa park last year where EYP whipped Tripple Stars 5-2.

Thursday talk session on Environment

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) holiday program is going on with new kids still joining the program. Among the new entrants include; Mirembe Sharon Teddy 18, student of YMCA comprehensive Institute, Kato Martin 11, student of Bat Valley Primary, Kato Maari Brian, 12, student of 4-stars Junior Academy among others. One of the new kids, Kato Martin, says he is happy to have joined EYP where he has so far learnt many things among which is to avoid discrimination among ourselves; he learnt this through the talk session conducted by coach Hassan Mubiru on 8th December.

On 9th Decemebr, the talk session was on Risk Management in sports for the youth conducted by coach Maureen Nabasumba, Coach Bashier Mubiru added on something about the Laws of the game which is essential for all players. Coach Hadijah Nangonze talked about officials and their conduct invloved in match control and their functions. On Tuesday, Coach David Muganga talked about the meaning of training, its phases and its purpose. On Thursday, the kids will learn the environmental issues in schools, with friends, parents, families, clubs or academies.The training starts at 9am with talk sessions and then practicals at 10am from Monday-Friday.

HOLIDAY FOOTBALL PROGRAM STARTED ( loaded on 09.12.2010)

The holiday football program for holiday makers has started full blast under the theme is "The importance of warm up". at Aga Khan school field where over 200 players are expected to attend in all age categories.Intake will be for players from four(4) years to seventeen(17) years old. Players and parents can now register those to participate in the holiday program at EYP offices at Martin Road Old Kampala or at the school field at Aga Khan. The holiday program breaks off on 23rd December 2010.

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) Holiday started on well on Monday.The third term phase II holiday started on Monday 06.12.10 where new children enrolled and trained by EYP coaches. EYP organizes children's holiday training at Aga Khan Primary from Monday-Friday from 9am-12noon.The holiday will go on till christmas break on 23rd December and restart on on 27th December and break off on new years 1st January 2011 and resume on 2ndJanuary 2011 at Aga Khan.Weekend program remains at Makerere University Business Studies (MUBS) and Aga Khan from 9am-12 noon Saturday and Sunday. Registration still going on age 0f 4-17 years.

Edgars Youth Programme Holiday soccer programme Phase I  organised mainly for Primary Seven (P.7) is moving on smoothly. According to some parents, the programme has already had an impact on some of the trainees. Among the P.7 leavers attending phase I are; Sydney Mutumba, Ryan Kaweesa, Edward Mugerwa, Paddy Kisekka, Geofrey Rabwoni, Isaac Mwesiga, Badru Sekajja, Nicholas Jireh Nakooli, Innocent Getabazi, Adrian Nyanzi, Mark Mugisha,Roland Nareeba.

The programme will go on till 3rd December 2010, Phase II will start on 6th December for all kids from the age of 4-17 years and the training venue will be Aga Khan Primary starting from 9am-12pm Monday-Friday.

Edgars Youth Programme holiday phase 1 started well with new and old players turning up fairly in good numberl.The kids were welcomed by EYP administrator coach Dan Mubiru who briefed them on what they are expected of  as vacists.

He congratulated them upon finishing the exams and advised them to be obedient to their parents, and also asked them to help on house work after leaving Aga Khan.Training continues till on 3rd December at Aga Khan Primary school and we expect more kids to enroll in this program.

The Phase I training is targeting those who will have finished P.7, training will start on Monday 8th November and ends on 3rd December 2010  at Aga Khan Primary grounds.Phase II will start on 6th December when we expect all the schools to have closed for Holiday and expect to register kids from the age of 4-17 years.

Edgars kids will for the first time ever have their children's League played on an Artificial Turf (Field) in Njeru Jinja District. This has been organised for all kids registered and attached to their clubs in EYP and will be held on 4th December 2010.

The program coordinator of this league Saidi Seggie said there is need to rebrand the Childrens League by taking it to a modern field where kids can have fun, interact and share experience, also an U15 guest team has been invited from jinja to play with EYP U15. This will be the curtain raisers match expected to kick start the league, parents and well wishers are welcome to the one day league and fun fixture.

Holiday Soccer Starts on 8th November

Edgars Youth Programme will start Holiday Program for Primary Seven Leavers on Monday 8 November  2010. The general holiday program will begin on Monday 6 December 2010 and end on 28th January 2011.We shall break off for Christmas season on 24th December 2010 and resume on 27th December 2010. Enrollment for players aged 4-17 years is on going. Players who will exel in the holiday programme have the opportunity to be selected to join the Academy Team.

Second term Holiday ends

Edgars Holiday program second term came to an endon friday with individual players showing signs of improvements. In U 3 where Jeremiah Blessed, Kasozi Isaac showed that in future they will be the stars of the Cranes but Blessed was better than Isaac in all areas like ball kicking,attacking and defending. In U5 Tatian Ssuubi new comer showed skills and is determined to improve with the ball. Tatian brother to Patrick Tendo is ever jolly and wants to learn. In U7 Tervan Mukasa,Sharma Emoi,Sharif Sebunya,Newman Katongole,Ezra Kitibwa and Jerry Baliraine did their best and they all showed signs of improvement but Newman showed that he has improved alot but had a problem of over carrying the ball and complains alot and also Sharma was not a joke.she was a star and good at attacking and can defend well. Jerry was best in goal keeping and when he ewass brought up front he was using hands that shows he likes goal keeping.U9 Huzaifah Kasozi,Ian Muliisa,Nissi Sakwa,Alvin barasa,Shafiq Kalawo,Jonans Bamwebaze,Adrian Tumwesigye,Faswiha Mulindwa,Evans Kisomose,Shawn Sentamu,Joel Kayanja,Joshua Kayanja,Nicholas Kawesi,Sean Senteza,Octa Asiimwe,Darren Baine did well all but individual skills saw Evans stole the show with defending,attacking,ball distribution was superb. In scoring Darren was the top scorer with 70 goals on his credit. Third term Phase I will begin on 8th November with Primary Seven candidates while Phase II begin on December 6th.

Holiday Program ends this Friday

Holiday soccer program is coming to an end on Friday 27th August 2010. The three phase program started on 12th July-23rd for international schools (phase I). Schools like Aga Khan, Kabojja,Greensteds,Taibah, St Gregorys England, St Joseph's School, StoneMill Elementary and Swansfield Elementary have benefited from this program.

Players like Adrian Winborne a class 5 student of Swansfield Elementary School in America praised coaches for their great training sessions that saw him compete with his counter parts in schools earier mentioned, and promises to travel back to Uganda during summer because he enjoyed his stay even if it was short.

This holiday, players like Lydia Alaba, Baine Darren, Shawn Senteza, Bruno Ndandiko,Tatian Ssali Ssuubi Bidandi {a student of Nursery AKNS Makerere as the youngest with 3 years}, Balpreet Singh {a student of Aga Khan}, Mathew Wabwire, Hans Matovu, Emmanuel Lule {a student of Stone Mill Elementary school class 3}, Robert Tusiime {student of St Peters}, Blessed Jeremiah {5yrs and a pupil of Jengo Pre-School in Top class} and Brain Atwine joined the holiday programme.

Bruno Ndandiko U10 and Hassan Mutaasa U7 students at Aga Khan joined Edgars Holiday program that started on 12th July.The two were welcomed by coaches and are enjoying the trainings on tuesday. Martin confident of a win in Welsh super cup

Edgars long serving player Martin Netzer has assured Edgars coaches about bringing the Welsh super Cup trophy. Martin said this after friday trainings at Aga Khan. "I know this time we are well prepared and i think we shall come with the trophy." This is the second time Edgars is participating in the 26th annaul Welsh super cup. lats year Edgars reached the semis in the Bowl cup.

New kids join Edgars

Abdullah Raza Virk 12,Umar Raza Virk 7 and Sambhar Singhvi 6 have joined Edgars Youth to promote their talents. The Aga Khan student Abdallah in Year 7,said i have been longing to join the academy which promotes young talents. I now feel at home and i know i will play serious football and also play professional football. "I have been admiring the coaches training the kids during school soccer club but now am also ready to show my talent and also i want coaches to accept me."  His young brother Umar also a student at Aga Khan said i feel happy and i want to learn football so that i become one of the great players of this country. Singhvi said i will challenge all those  who have been training with Edgars. Together with other kids likeEthan ,Netzer,Devine,Lydia welcomed the new kids and were happy to see them,

International Holiday training starts

Low turn up at International holiday training.The holiday started today with 8 players one U15 Adrian Mugyesera and the rest from U9 Shawn Sentamu,Lydia Alaba,Joshua Kayanja,Joel Kayanja.In U7 Darren Baine,Jude Ethan Mugabe and Divine Ejiofe Nnamdi were the players present.This program is targeting mostly the travel team heading to United Kingdom as well as Norway cup due in July and August respectively.The training starts at 9am-12 noon.Today was welcoming remarks by coach Elijah Rabwoni who asked the kids to cooperate and grasp all the information we give and put them into practice. The kids learnt Laws of The Game(Football) 1& 2 Field Of Play and The Ball.Darren scored six goals on his credit as his teamwon 9-3 goals.Other goals came from Lydia and Joshua. INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY PROGRAM STARTS 12TH JULY

Edgars Youth Programme has organized a holiday program for International schools.The program will run from 19th July- 27th August for international schools like Aga Khan, Kabila Internationals, Rainbow International, International School Uganda among others. The program will be conducted at Aga Khan Primary School ground every Monday-Friday from 9am-1200 noon. National pupils will start on 16th August and end on 27th August 2010. Registration is going at the main office located on Plot 10 Martin Road Old Kampala.

Holiday program ends on Friday

Holiday program will come to an end this friday 14th May.The program started on 29th April has been at Aga Khan where several players have been excelling in different areas. Sudice Iga U11 was among those chosen to be the captain after his performance in talk session and on the field.Iga is the top scorer during the trainings with 45 goals. Iga is being assisted by Marvin Mulindwa who also won during the talk session a well on the field. Other players who have have been selected includes Jonans Bamwebaze U8 time keeper assisted by Trevor Zziwa U9.these two have been keeping time by coming early and they will be working with coaches so that timeis kept during talk session, training and other issues. Also Charles Kijambu U13 is heading assisted by Trevor Kaaya will be in charge where he has to keep order during the talk session. All agreed to work and were happy to be selected and will keep discipline at all times.

Reagan Serugo best player in U9

Holiday program for national schools first term is going on well.The program started on monday 26th April with 35 kids 10 new members joining.Session manager coach Hassan Mubiru said the session is going on well and we expect more kids as some of the parents wants the kids to rest for few days. We expect over 100 kids for this term and by the end of the holiday we want to see that the kids get the technics of playing football. We teach laws of the game discipline,advise on academics,how to respect elders and so many issues. We want good players the training helps those who will travel to UK and Sweden in the month of July and August. Meanhwile Day 3 the number increased and many kids like Reagan Serugo are doing well and he was voted player of the week and we are waiting to see who will take over him in the U9 age group.He beat 8 other players in his age by showing skills under coach Elijah who was in charge on Wednesday.

Edgars Holiday Soccer for international starts

As always every holiday Edgars organises soccer camps for holiday makers (youth) where we continue to tap talent. This time around, we are holding a camp for international school student under the theme Coordination.

During the first day of the session, coach Dan tookplayers through orientation and introduced Law 1 of the game. This attracted a fair turn up and managed to register new entrants like Nsambu Lloyd and Amen Fasil. Coach Dan is opportimist the turn up will increase day by day.

Edgars Youth Programme holiday will start on 23rd April at Aga Khan School. According to Technical Director coach Peter Makanga said the program will start immediately the kids get holiday that will start on19th April a day after Aga Khan holiday which will start on 29th march.

Aga Khan holiday starts training program 29th March

Aga Khan Soccer(AKESU) will break off for holiday on 26th March for Term I. The school opened early than other schools and they will close 26th March earlier than other school and soon immediately they will start holiday training on 29th March at Aga Khan ground. According to the school program the school will close on 26th March and begin Term II in month of April 19th the school will open for Term II. Aga Khan Soccer club will resume training on Tuesday 20th April. Coach Peter Makanga says we shall start immediately they close their Term I and give the kids 2 days rest Saturday and Sunday and Monday training begin in the morning.

Edgars Youth Programme Holiday Phase III has come to an end today friday 22nd January. The four weeks long holiday saw some kids being monitored after displaying skills. Accordining to coach Dan Mubiru, the program has come to an end and asks the kids now to focus on the academics but they should also utilize the opportunity of training whenever there is school program to keep their minds healthy. During their long stay, one of the parents, of Evans Kisomese, in U9 who has been watching the training advised parents to give the kids a chance to train hard and says she will keep her son training so that he stays fit.

Edgars Holiday Programme Third Term Phase III ends 22nd

Edgars Youth Programme Phase III will end on 22nd January.According to the programme the kids will assemble in the morning, train and later they will be given circulars. We appreciate to the Parents who have been supportive and we ask all to continue with the support so that we develop the talents in our kids.The programme started on 28th Dec and kids have gained experience and some of them have been selected to be in an academy team which will be representing Edgars in U13 games. Phase III started 28th Dec where the kids had severla friendly games and won some of them.

Edgars Youth Programme holiday for all ages 4-18 will begin 30th Nov 09. Acting Team leader coach Saidi Segirinya said the program will begin on 30th Nov -18th Dec 09 for phase II. Phase I is still going for candidates who sat their Primary Leaving Exams and UCE exams,then Phase III will begin on 28th Dec 09 and ends on 23rd Jan 2010, this will also mark the climax of the Holiday soccer program and parents will be invited to cheer their children during the Children's League.

Referees and Law of the game

Edgars Youth Programme's THEME for the second term Holiday will be about the Roles of Referees and the Laws of the game. This was revealed by Team Leader Saidi Segirinya who said the kids needs to be taught the laws of the game right away from teenage stage. Most of our children dont know the role of Referees and the Laws of the game, and now that we have qualified coaches, the kids will benefit alot from what we learnt during the basic coaching course conducted by senior instructors headed by FUFA Techinical Director Asuman Lubowa and Bobby Williamson and CAF Fitness Instructor Haruna Kebba,CAF Instructor Majidah Nantanda and FUFA Referee instructort Mansoor Kimumwe.

Our coaches Elijah Rabwoni,Saidi Segirinya,Hassan Mubiru and Bashier Mubiru passed with good results where Segirinya came out second out of 18 coaches. 17 laws of the game will be taught during the three weeks holiday training which starts August 17th-5th Sept at Aga Khan School registration is open to kids between 4-18years.

Edgars Youth Programme Holiday soccer will be opened at Aga Khan school.The program will start from 17th Aug end on 5th Sept.The programw will be handled by qualified coaches of Edgars who graduated in July and hold FUFA certificate.According to the ag.Team Leader Saidi Segirinya confirmed the Holiday and said it is going to be real fun as well as real soccer those who qualifies will be of 4-18 years both Boys and Girls from 9am-12:30PM( Mon-Friday) at a fee of Shs75,000. New entrants will have to fill in the Registartion fee of Shs5000 for a form as well as buying Edgars FULL Uniform at a fee of Shs 50,000.

The 2009 First Term Holiday Program started 27.04.09 successfully

Our holiday soccer camp started yesterday at Aga Khan 27.04.09 successfully with coach Dan taking the children thru the orientation and introduced New entrants to other old players.

This 1st Term holiday is organised under the Theme DOUBLE PASSING, a theme thought to help the children develop spirit of team work,cooperation and achieve a sense of anticipation. The holiday will end on 15.May.2009 and a Children's League shall be held to mark the soccer camp

We have today held our Children's League successfully at Aga Khan Primary field with Sparrows,Doves,Pigeons and Parrots as the  participating Team in each age category.(U7,U9,U11,U13 and U15) 

The event was largely attended by many parents,were Major General Jeje Odong presided over as parents Leader and encouraged parents to always spare time for kids.Below are the results as compiled;

Sparrows won the U7 category by beating Pigeons 3-0 with Mulindwa Marvin netting a Brace and a goal from Ntegeka Isaac.

Sparrows again won the U9 by beating Doves 6-1,Wasswa Chrispus netting 4goals Odeke scoring a brace.U11 was won by Doves after beating Parrots by 3-0,goals from TUmusiime Davis,Kaye and Mari Israel.U13 category was won by Doves after defeating Parrots 2-0 with goals coming from Kaweesi Shafiq and Umaru Rashid.

The U15 category was won by Pigeons after defeating Sparrows by 1-0,Kiddu Joel John scoring the sole goal.

The accolade for the most outstanding player went to Mulindwa Marvin for the U-7,iIga Sudice scooped the U-9 award,Kabbongo for the U-11,Nabatanzi Zaina U-13 while the U-15 accolade went to Kabandize Hood.
