Edgars U17 to play Katawulizi FC on sunday 19th February at Mengo SS.

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) U17 will play Katawulizi FC in the Rubaga FUFA organzied second division.U17 academy have so far played 6 games and won two games loosing 4 scoring 11 goals. Paul Mbazira is the top scorer in the academy team with 5 goals on his credit followed by Isma magoola with two goals and Simon Kasozi one goal.Coach Iginitius Kyagulanyi says that the team is improving and more results will come.16.02.12

Edgars wins 4-0 in Second league

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) U17 academey team won a league game against Natete Sports game played at Biira playground on Sunday 5th February. The U17 team registered in the second division in Rubaga division so far has played 4 games and won 1 game and lost three.Coach Ignitius Kyagulanyi said the team is improving and if they follow my instructions we shall be in the first 5th position.We have been loosing because of lack maturinty in the league.This is the first time EYP in the league.EYP U17 will play again on 12th February at home in Mengo SS in Bukesa.The goals came from Paul Mbazira scoring a hattrick while another one scored by Simon Kasozi. 

U17 wins Created Cranes 7-0

In preparation for the upcoming second division league games, the U17 has played a series of friendly games, a notable game was  between the National Women football team (Crested Cranes) in which Edgars won 7-0 with goals coming from Mbazira Paul, Kazibwe Simon, Ssewajjo Gadafi and Nakazibwe Sylvia. The game was played on Monday 12th December 2011 at Kavumba Recreational Centre.

In a brief chat with the Natioanl team coach Majidah, was full of praise for Edgars team who she said have come along way to develop such a good team that can ably compete at levels, she also thanked the Coach for instilling team work and discipline on the team.

Edgars U17 to future in second divison

The U17 Academy team has registered in FUFA second division League scheduled to startin December 2011. The games will be played under Rubaga District Football Associations.

The team's training has intenified to enable the team be better shape to compete technically and tactically with other teams. Head coach Kyagulanyi,confirmed this development and was delighted to guide his team to such a competitive level.

Edgars U17 drew with Fimbo,St Juliana School

Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) U17 academy team is continuing with friendly games ahead of the Federation Uganda Football Association(FUFA) sanctioned youth league games. The lost to St.Julian during the friendly,EYP is preparing for Youth and several games as organised in the category of U15,U17 and U19.

This acdemy team is handled by former Youth interantional Ignitius Kyagulanyi and the games played at mengo senior secondary  saw coach Kyagu's team lose 2-0 against St Juliana School based in Gayaza.

Edgars Invited for Kids Promotion League

Edgars U7,U9,U11 for an promotion league at City Parents School play ground.Edgars recieved an invitation on 3rd October and have confirmed its participation in the two day event.EYP has several academy teams from U5-U17 which competes in virous activities both local an abroad.EYP played in the USA Shcwans cup this year as well as Wesh intenational super cup in England

Edgars Youth programme Academy Taem U17 lost in Airtel cup.Girls Team,U15 and U17 registered and participated in the Airtel cup that was played last Month.It is only the Girls team that reached the finals but lost to senior team Gaddafi on sport kicks.U17 and U15 didnt qualify in any stage lost on the first game but the girls team won four games and lost one on finals and two girls Angela Nakisozi and Zaina Nabatanzi stand a chance to win a ticket to go to South Africa for a training cortesy of Airtel.  ### 08.09.11

EYP teams invited for Airtel Tournament

Edgars Youth Programme has registered U17 team for boys and girls to participate in the Airtel Rising Stars(ARS) that is expected to start this month in regions. The Head Coach welcomed engagement in such a big tournament, where he expects youth players to demonstrate their ability to compete at high level especially when there are no leagues for youth to explore and he opportmist his boys and girls will merge victors in kampala region,e ach top players in each team will be selected to go for training in South Africa.

The Objective of this tournament is to provide African Boys and Girls  with an opportunity to showcase and improve their skills to become the next stars. The tournament is set to start this Month 20th August. meanwhile EYP girls are in the race for the Women's League where our girls are third on the Table standing. In Kampala region where EYP academy teams have registered will be played between 27th and 28th of August play grounds yet selected. Coaches Iginitius Kyagulany and Maurice Mate have confirmed that their teams will be part of the Airtel tournament.

U11 win against Rising Stars Academy

Edgars U11 academy team won 3-2 in a tense game played over the weekend with Riing starts academy.EYP academy team scored goals through Adrian Nyanzi a brace and Vianey Kakoza one.This game marked the end of Holiday programme that started on 25th April. The training was at Aga Khan primary school and ended on 20th may with children learning laws of the game,how to keep the environment green and clean. The holiday saw many new kids join Edgars and includes Sejjuko Ronald, 7 years student at City parents,Abraham Micheal Moses 11,Lumanyika Christopher 12,Victor Kukkiriza 11 student of Word of Life,Denzel Daniel Ssali 4 a pupil of Victorious Education Services among others. ### 23.05.11 

U17 Team set for an away match

EYP U17 has been invited to kakiri for a friendly  next weekend and is set travel with a 16 man team, 2 officials and a doctor. list of probable line will soon be released.

In the mean time the friendly games scheduled this saturday have been cancelled due to an avoidable circumstances

Acadamy Team's Kaweke Sophas gets a Brace

in preparation for the youth cup, Academy team is playing number of friendly games and on sunday 4th October, the team played Ex-Internationals whom they lost to by 6-2.Kaweke Sophas scored a brace. Kirya Ibrahim,Nsubuga Masanda, Amatwe, Kayongo Ali and Mubiru Abdullah scored for Ex-Internationals.

Academy Team in charge was very impressed by the boys performance despite the defeat, and he is convinced that with more exposure to experienced players and competetive games the team will be invisible as evidenced in Ex-Internationals friendly. The boys also had a chance to receive guidence from some inspirational players like Mubiru and Ibrahim Kirya.

U15 Prepares for Ex- International

The U15 Acadamy Team is in preparation for a friendly match with Uganda Cranes Ex-international due on Sunday at Nakivubo Stadium. Coach Kyagulanyi Ignitius says his boys are getting well prepared for the game and he wants the boys to get used to strong and aggressive opposition who can give them a good attitude to compete at all levels and also get exposure.

Academy Team Receives a Donation

This week, the Team Manager Edgars Soccer Academy donated a number of sports gears to the team. The Team Leader Edgar Watson and Head Coach Lutalo George applauded this donation and thanked the Manager for  being so generous and most of all a manager who truly loves the game of football.

The head coach believes that this donation will boost the youth cup preparation in terms of equipments and he is  very optimistic to win all the three trophies in the three age categories just for the manager come 11th  December 2010.

Edgars U13 to participate in European Union TKL Youth Tournament.
 
The tournament will be played at ISU Lubowa grounds starting saturday 29th May 2010 at 9am.The annual event attracts teams from countries of the European Union and recognised youth groups. EYP is ready to send a team of 11 players led by coach Peter Makanga and coach Ignitious Kyagulanyi>The Coaches have reported that the team will be ready to compete favourably since last year the team was eliminated at the semi Finals by seemingly older players from one of the competing teams.

Edgars Youth Programme, long serving player Karl Martin will captain a team that is set to tussle it out with other teams in the European Union day. The one day galla will be at ISU Lubowa grounds, is played annually will see Edgars U13 play several of the teams around East Africa to commemorate the European day. Last year Edgars reached semis and was 3rd over all where Kasese were the champions of the TKL cup. Among the players in the team includes Kakembo Semakula,Hood Walakira,Ismail Magoola,Owen Namanda,Trevor Kitonsa,Adrian Mugyesera,Brian Semanda,Bambi Ismail,Kamodest Katotoka,Abdulaham Ajjo.The team wil be led by Technical Director coach Peter Makanga and coached by coach Ignitius Kyagulanyi. Go go boys.

U13 invited to TKL Championships

A team  of 11 players of U13 has been invited to take part in the European Union TKL youth tournament. The tournament will be held on 29th May 2010 at International School  of Uganda Lubowa.

This tournament is held annually to mark European Union day, where various activities including football are done. Coach Makanga the coach incharge believes that this time the boys shall emerge victors given the training they have had in holiday and he says his players are eager to take on any team.

U13's Semakula Kakembo gets a hatrick

During the U13 friendly match played on sunday between Edgars and Wolves at Kibuli,so Edgars win 4-0 courtesy of Semakula's hatrick and another goal from Badru.

Semakula said he had a game together with his teammates depite a very hot weather and he believes that if given enough training and matches, the entire team can greatly improve.

The team which trains every saturday at MUBS is rotating the country as the way to get more exposed and get more players for the future. Technical Director coach Peter Makanga says that we dont mind about loosing but teaching the young kids tips of how to loose and win as it part of football. Other games played on the same Edgars U11 won 1-0 ,aEdgars U15 won 2-1.

The U13 Academy team played a friendly game with Villa's U13 and won 6-0 at Villa park grounds in Nsambya.The Academy team that comprises of the cream players from U13  that will graduate to a more competetive level of U15 and shall develope into a strong team if the players continue with the level skills and techniques that they demonstrated during the friendly.

We expect more players in each age group  to improve and mature and soon Edgars will have a team to compete in the local league according to coach Peter Makanga.

Edgars U13 loses to SagoKicks

The U13 Academy team played a friendly match with SagoKicks at MUBS field and lost by one goal. The boys had a great game despite their loss, and i believe with consistence training and tactical play, the boys will be invincible coach Edgar Watson said after the match.

 

 

Edgars Academy team whip Primary Seven Holiday leavers

Edgars Youth Programme Academy team coached by coach Bashier Mubiru won 5-2 in a friendly game with primary seven leavers.The game was part of the training at Makerere Busines Studies (MUBS) where the academy is preparing for the up coming games organized by Edgars to be played 19 Dec at Africa Bible Institute Lubowa. Technical Director at EYP coach Peter Makanga said the academy is improving slowly. The boys are responding well, with time the team will strongly develop into a formidable team.

This is the second time the academy team is playing a friendly match.The first game the academy lost 2-1.coach Peter says that they need alot of friendly games to learn more of team play and techniques but i know they will be a team to beat.EYP is also going to play in the Uganda Youth Football Association tournament due in Nov and Dec.

Edgars Youth Programme (EYP) has selected Coach Bashier Mubiru as an Academy team head coach. According to Acting Team Leader coach Saidi Segirinya said it is true he will be in charge of it and he is the one to have a final word on that team. He has been assigned the task of developing current and upcoming players into real professional footballers, and most of all develop a strong team that can represent EYP in youth tournaments

Mubiru was delighted and urged fellow coaches to be more cooperative since such a task needs collective effort from all of EYP staff.

Edgars Youth Programme's U13 Academy Team

The most talented members of the Edgars Youth Programme are invited to the Academy Teams. In addition to the regular training sessions, currently the Academy Team U13 trains on Saturday afternoons, and if the school programme allows on weekdays from 5-6.30 PM as well then on Sundays they friendly games. In this way EYP helps these youngstars to develop their skills. The team is coached by Mr. George William Lutalo. The Academy Teams are aiming at playing at competite level.
 


 

The Academy team has lost all two friendly matches that they have played with the U14 team of Friends of Football and Express Young U13.The matches were played on Sunday 29.03.09 and 5.04.09 respectively.

Sunday EYP got to compete against Sports Outreach Ambassadors. The U15 Academy Team won 1-0 against Sports Outreach Ambassadors. Denis Mwesigwa scored the one and only goal in the match! Despite goals from Karl Martin and Simon Mugwanya, the U13 could not win - they lost 4-2...
