Edgars Youth Programme
welcomes New Head Teacher of Ntinda Deaf school
Edgars Youth Programme(EYP) welcomed the new Head Teacher of Ntinda Deaf School. EYP was represented by Technical
Director Peter Makanga who met the New Headmaster Mr.Jackson Mbuusi at the Deaf school in Ntinda on Monday 07.03.2011. Mr
Mbusi has reported in office upon his appointment as the new Headmaster. EYP was proud to be the first organization to have
a welcome courtesy visit and expressed happiness to have had this opportunity. Coach Makanga informed the Headmaster that
EYP has been a partner organization; working with the school to develop and uplift talents of the young Deaf children.
The Headmaster Mr Mbusi said he loves sports and expressed excitement towards this activity. EYP works with in the
school to train the kids in soccer and solve problems that are related to sports activities. Headmaster pledged to give EYP
more time upon settling in the office.The meeting was coordinated by EYP Coach Iryn Kibudde who is the Liason Officer
between the two entities.EYP donated 2 balls to the school as sign of good relationship.

Appeal for Assistance.
Edgars Youth Programme has been confronted with male and female youths of between 14 years and 17years who
are well talented in football but can not sustain themselves in schools and are in need of assistance. Although EYP assists
in its limited capacity but can not sustain them more than letting them obtain skills in football and try to link them up
to schools with low payments of fees. There is need to have these Youths assisted at least to obtain education since
their parents can not offer any support in this case.It is therefore EYP appeal to any one out there to assist or help these
Youths. For the sake of confidentiality we have not put the names but can avail them to any one who may wish to help in his

Edgars Youth Programme in partnership with Power FM started a soccer project
for the inmates in Luzira prison dubbed Easter In Prison. This is organised to demonstrate a sense of togetherness with prison
and will be done through soccer tournament where Edgars donated 5 balls, a pair of Boots to be awarded to the most variable
player and a Trophy for the evential winner.

Youth Programme donates to Naguru Remand Home
Edgars
Youth Programme(EYP) on Friday 20th March 2009 donated 10 cartons of water and T-shirt to Naguru Remand Home. EYP's
Dan Mubiru handed over the boxes to Naguru leader of boys and Girls
Also 60 T-shirts were given to all those who participated in the HIV/AIDS awareness project, this was conducted
for the youth in the Remand home through the use of soccer. Mubiru asked the youths to behave well and be good citizen so
that they become future leaders of this country.
The
children appealed to EYP and the public to accept them after their rejuvunation process at the Remand Home. EYP Coaches Saidi
Segirinya, Hassan Mubiru and Elijah Rabwoni also attended the ceremony.

LERUM AND HALIFAX COUNTY UNITED DONATES TO EDGARS YOUTH PROGRAMME U-11 TEAM
EYP's U-11 Team to Sweden received a donation of 25 pairs
of shin guards and 12 balls from the Head Coach of Halifax County United and Lerum respectively while in Sweden as a token
of appreciation for their good display of skills during the Gothia World Youth Tournament played from 13.07.08 to 19.07.08.
Embassy
Of The Royal Kingdom Of The Netherlands has supported the Deaf League in schools. Activities include: provide school with
soccer equipment, skills training for games teachers to set up school training programme and (inter) school competitions.

German
Embassy Donates Sports Equipments for Youth Programmes
The German Embassy continues its promotion of sport programmes for the Ugandan Youth. On April 17th,
2008, the German Ambassador H.E. Reinhard Buchholz, has handed over sport equipment to Edgars Youth Programme
and Jack Soccer Academy Mukono. He donated footballs, rucksacks, ball pumps and t-shirts worth over 2,7 Million UGX.
The aim of the donation is to promote sports programmes
for the Youth in Uganda.
Part
of the donation is from the generous chairman of FC Bayern Fun Club, Reinhold Reinöhl who is also an executive board
member of the school project “Hilfe für Kinder in Uganda”. This is not for the
first time that Mr. Reinöhl has been sending Bayern Munich fan articles to Uganda.
EDGARS YOUTH PROGRAMME
RECOGNISES NATIONAL GOAL KEEPER TRAINERS Three Identified
Senior National Goalkeeper coaches have been recognised for their contribution in trainning goal keepers in Uganda.These include Lukwago
Fred, Paul Sali and Sadiq Wassa.
Edgars Youth Programme has donated two trainning Oliver Kahn kits to each one and an FC Bayern
kit bag to motivate them to train more goal keepers in the country.
HELP NEEDED
We request any one who can provide us with Medical drugs and first Aid equipment to donate them to us for the sake of
executing first Aid to children and Youths when injured on the field.Bandages, Deep Heat, wound rubs, muscle gels etc are
welcome
CITY SPORTS HOUSE
City sport House donated Ten (10 ) trucksuits to Our Coaches. Thanks to Mr. Peter the MD who
pledged more support to Edgars Youth Programme. City Sports House Sells sports equipment, please buy Boots and shin Guards
from their Shop at Namirembe Road.
URGENTLY REQUIRED We are appealing to Parents, companies,Organisation
and Well wishers to help in raising funds for the Travel team to Sweden and Uk for the Youth tournaments and also help in
providing drinking water that is taken by the players and coaches during the playing sessions. Ideally there is need to drink
water before, during and after the sessions which calls for a total of 30 cartons of water per week. However any assistence
offered will be highly appreciated.
